The Lancaster Couonty Music Camp will be held from July 10-16, 2005, at Elizabethtown College. The camp is in its' 34th year; this year's guests include the Philadelphia Brass quintet. You may also contact the camp director, Grant Moore, at 717-361-1212 or e-mail: mooreg@etown.edu - applications are not on their website; please ask for one when you contact Mr. Moore.

Students will receive private instruction and music theory, and also be able to participiate in ensembles such as orchestra, band, jazz band, show choir, jazz orchestra and chamber groups. Tuition is $495, and scholarships are available through the Musical Art Society. The application deadline is June 20.

MORE NEWS: On May 8, 2005, the Lancaster County Youth Symphony will celebrate 40 years of music making. Please help up celebrate this grand event by attending the program celebrating the anniversary at the Salem United Church of Christ in Rohrerstown. The program will be at 4:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

To help commemorate the anniversary, former members are invited to participate in a solo and ensemble recital that will be part of the planned anniversary activities. If you are interested in performing at the 40th Anniversary Celebration, please contact Mrs. Donley, or email me at lcyso@yahoo.com
